In today’s European debate on immigration, dominated by extremes, clarity is urgently needed.
On one side, we find defenders of unconditional multiculturalism. On the other, rising voices call for mass remigration, often based on ethnic or religious criteria.
But there is a third path — one that is civil, legal, and coherent with the rule of law:
It is called ReImmigrazione.
What is ReImmigrazione?
ReImmigrazione is a political and legal paradigm built on a simple and democratic principle:
Those who want to stay must integrate. Those who refuse integration must return to their country of origin.
Integration is not a cultural preference. It is a legal, linguistic, and civic obligation.
ReImmigrazione holds that residency and citizenship rights must be conditional upon the effective fulfillment of integration duties.
Why Remigration is not the solution
The concept of remigration, promoted by identitarian movements in France, Germany and elsewhere, is often based on collective logic: removing entire groups of immigrants, regardless of their individual behavior.
This approach:
- violates constitutional principles,
- makes no distinction between integrated and non-integrated individuals,
- and fuels social division and polarization.
Mass deportation is not only unrealistic — it is also morally and legally unacceptable in democratic societies.
ReImmigrazione: A legal, not ideological model
Unlike remigration, ReImmigrazione is not based on ethnicity or religion. It relies on verifiable legal criteria:
- Proven knowledge of the national language
- Respect for the Constitution and the law
- Genuine employment and tax contribution
- Demonstrated social participation
Those who reject these duties cannot demand the rights that come with long-term residence.
ReImmigrazione therefore proposes a return — assisted, legal, and proportionate — for those who refuse or fail to integrate.
Conclusion: Rights must come with responsibilities
ReImmigrazione is not extremism.
It is a proposal of balance, responsibility, and democratic consistency, one that defends national cohesion and republican values.
It is the civil response to a real problem.
Because where integration fails, ReImmigrazione is the only alternative.
